Lookout

We wanted to find the perfect coastal views, so I consulted my favorite tripadviser and read wonderful comments on two places.  Both are close to Laguna Beach and off we went.

Our first stop was Heisler Park.  The blue-green clear water is spectacular.

Of course the pictures don't really do it justice.

A beautifully landscaped path follows along the cliff.

With lovely views in both directions.

This thought-provoking sculpture contains beams from the World Trade Center rubble.

One last shot from the south end of the park.

Just a mile or so farther up the coast is Crescent Bay Point Park, much smaller than Heisler, but very scenic.  These look like cormorants to me

The view of Crescent Bay is perfect.  It looks like a perfect family spot, but, to be honest, it would be hard to access because of the surrounding private land.

The scene looking the other direction is very different.  No swimming beach there.

Oh, and donut-lover Ron got a real twinkle in his eye when he spotted this king-sized one.

  1. That's about the tackiest sign ever If I were a pilot I'd try to fly through the donut hole lol
Private land is encroaching more and more on coastline and lakes are almost completely surrounded theses days...IT sure is a lovely view tho!
